<p>Michiko Kasahara, an established authority in Japanese photography, began her work with the Tokyo Metropolitan Museum of Photography in 1989 as a curator. After a four year term at the Museum of Contemporary Art, Tokyo, she returned to the Metropolitan Museum as the Chief Curator in 2006, which she has been leading since.</p>
<p>The Vision Culture Lectures were launched in January 2010 with the endorsement of the UNESCO Observatory Multidisciplinary Research in the Arts. The program is organised and hosted by Shalini Ganendra Fine Art at the  gallery’s award winning green art space, Gallery Residence, Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.</p>

<p>Enrico Isamu Oyama is a painter who explores the potential of street art by reconstructing it within the contexts of contemporary visual arts and city spaces. Mr. Oyama received the Asian Cultural Council’s Japan-United States Arts Program grant to research contemporary art, meet artists and curators, and create new work while participating in a residency program at Point B Worklodge in Brooklyn.</p>

<p>Grammy® Award-winning ACC grantee Southwest Chamber Music presents a celebration of its 25th anniversary season with premieres and commissions from fifteen composers representing Asia, Europe, Latin America and the US, including compositions by Unsuk Chin, Charles Wuorinen, Anne Le Baron, Lei Liang, Vu Nhat Tan, Tôn Thât Tiêt, Gabriela Lena Frank, Gabriela Ortiz, Hyo-shin Na, and Kurt Rohde.</p>
<p>Vu Nhat Tan will return to Los Angeles, supported by the Asian Cultural Council in New York City, following his successful appearances during Southwest&#8217;s Ascending Dragon Music Festival of 2010. Working with American poet Bruce Weigl, Tan&#8217;s <em>The Song of Napalm </em>is a break-out piece for the  Vietnamese composer.</p>
