The Biennale is now 120 years old, and year after year it moves forward and builds on its own history, everything here is exhibited against the backdrop of the Biennale’s 120-year history. Fragments of the past of various kinds may be found in every corner, given also the fact that the Biennale is active in Art, Architecture, Dance, Theatre, Music, and Cinema.

Temporal Turn: Art and Speculation in Contemporary Asia

November 10, 2016 - March 12, 2017

ACC provided support to The Spencer Museum of Art for the exhibition Temporal Turn: Art and Speculation in Contemporary Asia. This major international exhibition at the University of Kansas features 26 contemporary artists from across Asia whose work explores ideas about time, history and memory. In addition to works from the museum’s permanent collection, “Temporal Turn” includes international loans and site-specific commissions by four artists-in-residence.

Asia Corridor Contemporary Art Exhibition

August 19, 2017 - October 15, 2017

Asia Corridor Contemporary Art Exhibition will take place at Kyoto Art Center and Nijo Castle and includes work by 25 internationally renowned artists from Japan, China and South Korea. 7 of the aratist are ACC grantees.


This exhibition will allow visitors to experience the quality and intensity of contemporary art in the cultural city of Kyoto with work by artists that pioneer new frontiers and transcend national identities through the universal approaches of art.
