The Asian Cultural Council is pleased to
announce that an important donation from The Sovereign Art
Foundation will enable the ACC to award a new fellowship to
visual artists from Asia for research, study and creative work in the
United States. Artists from any country in Asia are eligible to receive
the ACC/Sovereign Art Foundation Fellowship. As with
all ACC fellowships, priority consideration will be given to candidates
with little or no previous opportunity to visit the United States.
The Sovereign Art Foundation was created in 2003 by
Howard Bilton, Chairman of The Sovereign Group, to promote and support
visual artists from the Asia Pacific region. The Foundation launched
its program in April of this year with an exhibition of works by Asian
artists, followed by an auction organized by Sotheby’s. (http://www.SovereignGroup.com)
