ACC 40th Anniversary Gala in New York
November 10, 2004

The centerpiece of the 40th Anniversary celebration was a Gala event held at the Time Warner Center in New York on November 10, 2004. The Gala evening for 500 guests began with a performance program in the spectacular Jazz at Lincoln Center Allen Room and concluded with dinner in the adjacent Mandarin Oriental Hotel.

Asian Cultural Council 40th Anniversary Art Auction in Tokyo
December 3 and 11, 2004

The Asian Cultural Council’s Japan-United States Arts Program celebrated the 40th Anniversary with two Gala art auctions held in Tokyo in December 2004. The events, organized by the Blanchette H. Rockefeller Fellowship Fund Committee and the ACC Japan Program, were held at the Mori Art Museum on December 3 and at the AJC Auction Company on December 11. See the auction website for highlights.

Asian Cultural Council 40th Anniversary Filipino Artists Cup in Manila
October 9, 2004

The Asian Cultural Council Philippines Foundation in Manila celebrated the ACC’s 40th Anniversary with the first Filipino Artists Cup, a benefit in support of the ACC’s Philippines Fellowship Program. This special event was held at the Manila Jockey Club, San Lazaro Leisure Park, on October 9, 2004.

ACC Announces New Visual Arts Fellowship from The Sovereign Art Foundation

The Asian Cultural Council is pleased to announce that an important donation from the Sovereign Art Foundation enables the ACC to award a new fellowship, the ACC/Sovereign Art Foundation Fellowship, to visual artists from Asia for research, study, and creative work in the United States. As with all ACC fellowships, priority consideration is given to candidates with little or no previous opportunity to visit the United States.
