Maria Victoria Abano


Ms. Abaño has served as the Dean of the College of Fine Arts at Philippine Women's University, President of the Philippine Association of Printmakers, and remains an innovative contemporary artist whose work grows out of the printmaking process. She has exhibited internationally and received numerous awards for her work including the 2006 Philip Morris Philippine Art Grand Prize. Ms. Abaño used her ACC Grant to receive advanced training in photographic silkscreen and color lithography, techniques not available in the Philippines. She also studied as an educator and administrator in the arts while in New York.
