Anna Netrebko has been called the world’s greatest soprano—a superstar with a voice of molten gold. “The beauty of her voice was ravishing” writes Bachtrack: “Shattering high notes alternated with heartbreaking pianissimos: she showed an almost super-human control of her instrument.”

She joins forces with her husband, tenor Yusif Eyvazov, to perform a selection of operatic scenes, arias and duets specially chosen to show the fully musical and dramatic range of this extraordinary partnership. The concert is conducted by opera specialist Michelangelo Mazza, and also features mezzo-soprano Carol Lin and the Hong Kong Philharmonic Orchestra.

In the past year, Netrebko and Eyvazov have appeared together in Verdi’s Aida (Teatro di San Carlo in Naples, Arena di Verona, Teatro Real in Madrid), as well as in Puccini’s Turandot (Arena di Verona), Manon Lescaut (Monte Carlo Opera) and Tosca (Teatro Colón in Buenos Aires)—generating an electrifying energy, and an unforced passion, that can only occur when two great singers know each other as well as they do, both on- and off-stage. In short, they are nothing less than a dream team: opera’s ultimate international star couple, coming together in Hong Kong to create sounds and emotions that will sweep you off your feet.
