ACC fellow Douglas Brooks will be teaching a two-week class at the Reischauer Institute of Japanese Studies at Harvard, leading ten graduate students in the construction of a Japanese river boat. The boatbuilding will also be open to the public and the finished boat will be exhibited through the spring. He will also be lecturing at Harvard about his ongoing research in Japan. 

Class Dates:

Monday through Friday from 9 am - 2 pm beginning on January 9, 2023 and ending on January 20, 2023. 

The boat will be at Harvard into March 2023
