The “Sai Kung Hoi Arts Festival” is a three-year arts project organised by Tourism Commission, supported by Hong Kong Geopark and curated by One Bite Design Studio. The first year of the Arts Festival will be held from 16 November 2022 to 15 January 2023. Through art, the Festival will allow visitors an opportunity to appreciate the rich natural resources and the long and deep history as well as culture of the four isles in Sai Kung Hoi.

Sarah Mui (ACC 2016), an experienced catalytic architect, focuses on public space, social design, and cross-disciplinary creative strategy. In partnership with Sherman Sun, a spatial designer, they have created "The Salty Breeze," located on the island of Yim Tin Tsai at the wetland next to the saltpan. The saltpan represents the history of Yim Tin Tsai and the memorable effort of the village ancestors, and the artwork mirrors tihs by offering a leisurely gathering place for visitors to enjoy the salty breeze together.

Exhibition Dates:

Nov. 16, 2022 - Jan. 15, 2023
