ACC JF held a fellowship report meeting for 2024 grantee Minori Suzuki, who completed their fellowship in New York earlier this year. Upcoming 2025 grantee Wataru Mukai and Yuuki Horiuchi, who joined online from overseas, also participated and listened to Suzuki's diverse experiences.
During their stay, Suzuki focused on how authors and artists presenting their work from minority perspectives in the United States have gained “voices” attending events including book launches and exhibitions. Suzuki also studied the legacies of pioneering transgender artists and activists, and through interactions with artists in younger generation, reflected on how art is not only a form of creation but also a means of survival and a way to support one’s community.
