“Between Lines” is a transnational collaborative ongoing project initiated by ACC alumnus Trần Minh Đức (Vietnam) and Shotaro Ikeda (Japan). The project has been driven continuously since 2014 when they made a shared folder online named under “Between Lines” which is a journey of seeking the memory and history in a certain place or a subject, and its boundaries turn into mainly installation, performance and open dialogue. Trần and Ikeda first met in 2012 HCMC also known as Saigon, that was the starting point of exchange both their mutual and individual concern about “being”. In 2019, “Our Conversations” was released at Culture Space Yang in Jeju, S.Korea in cooperation with Trần’s exhibition ‘Pink Flowers Blossom Here, There and Everywhere, Every Past and Upcoming Springtime’. For this time’s entitled ‘Memorable Moments: May Homeland Flow Around Strangeland' exhibition, they would reconsider the meaning of ‘crossing borders’ through the relation of present and past, among countries in the current situation of international comings and goings of people. –Memorable Moments 記念する Kỷ Niệm for this time's conversation of Between Lines is all of a sudden discuss the convo of many temporary happenings that have been flowing around us.
