SNB, which stands for SHORTS AND BRIEFS, returns for the 12th edition, and will run from Sept 18-20, Sept 25-27, and Oct 2-4, 2026 at Halxyon Club, Poblacion, Makati.
The popular theater festival presented by Eksena PH brings to light six exciting productions by emerging talents in playwriting, directing, lighting & acting as they explore the theme of WHAT IFS.
This year’s festival brings together a dynamic mix of returning SNB directors and first-time play directors, alongside emerging and first-time stage actors, new playwrights, and young lighting designers. Through their diverse voices, fresh perspectives, and creative visions, the festival continues to provide a space for emerging artists to create, collaborate, and take meaningful steps in their artistic journeys.
PALAKAKAY by CJ Rioboca asks: Will you still love me if I turn into a frog? Kakay (Evie Clemente) ponders the prospect of finally having sex, and poses the question to her boyfriend Jio (Zen Lavapie). With cast member Yuri Naga as Healers and Katherine Nobleza-Estavillo directing.
KAPAG WALA NG DEADLINE by Angel Karl Serrano has a fresh grad Galina (Monique Cordero), deeply uncertain of what the future holds, conversing with a ghost, Winston (Matty Puno), an undergrad, in, of all places, a toilet! Miguel Moreno directs.
ANG UNANG BADING SA LANGIT by Keno Ivan Matias uncovers painful truths in Red's (Jaytea Cruz) rainbow-colored life, as inquisitive Attendant Ramilo (Bojo Boom Gonzalee) takes him on a heavenly trip. With cast Ricci Ferrera as Amor/Trixie/Mother, and Rye Capulong directing.
BAGO KA NANGYARI by Avy Cabzon navigates the intricacies of a romantic relationship between Alex (Emilio Macabantad) & Louise (Virginia Reign Juego) as they go back in time. Isabelle Prado directs.
TAKOT AKO MAMATAY NUON, NGAYON, SLIGHT LANG by Zara Mia Lagera is about Mori (Emi Frivaldo & Ryan Davin alternating) confidently facing the inevitable called death. Johnny B. Maglinao directs.
KAPE AT BROWNOUT by Reinhardt Patrick Orillos puts Edward (Jamir Zamora) & Shaun's (Kurt Valero), college dormmates and soon-to-graduate, relationship to a final test during a storm. Phillipe Bracero Palmos directs.
Like last year, a stage reading of six additional plays under SNB Off 3 will be directed by Paulito del Mundo and Tom Navarro.
