Music From Japan celebrates its 51st season with an exciting collaboration with Momenta Quartet, presenting an eclectic mix of MFJ commissions past and present.
Founded in 1975 by its current Artistic Director, Naoyuki Miura, Music From Japan has presented more than 710 works, including 128 world premieres and 115 commissions by both Japanese and American composers, in North and South America, Central Asia, and East Asia. Over the course of the organization’s 51-year history, more than 219 Japanese composers have been showcased, as well as many traditional Japanese pieces.
The performance will take place in Scandinavia House's Victor Borge Hall.
