Speaking in Shadows, created by three immigrants and longtime collaborators—Daniel Arturo Almeida, Nyssa Chow, and me—presents a resplendent garden of cut paper and archetypal depictions of people whose absence is articulated, creating a space where the poetry of migrant lives is named, beheld, and voiced through light and shadow.

The installation will continue to grow through artwork co-created in community workshops. We're honored to present it at Think!Chinatown, an intergenerational nonprofit dedicated to the intersection of storytelling, arts, and neighborhood engagement.
